뉴저지한인상록회는

1990년 8월 16일 창립하여 올해로 33돌을 맞이하였습니다. 현재 제15대 회장으로 차영자 회장님이 3기 임기를 시작하였습니다.

뉴저지한인상록회는 뉴저지에 거주하는 만 55세 이상 한인이면 누구든지 연회비 40불로 가입할 수 있으며, 가입된 회원에게는 아래와 같이 각종 혜택을 드리고 있습니다. 상록학교를 통하여 생활영어, 컴퓨터, 휴대폰 사용법, 서예, 미술, 미국 역사, 기타, 색소폰, 에어로빅, 한국 전통 춤, 바디 스트레칭등 다양한 교육 프로그램에 참여 하실 수 있으며 등산 동호회, 색소폰 동호회와 같은 동호회에 가입하여 다른 시니어들과 취미 활동도 함께 하실 수 있습니다.

뉴저지 한인 상록회 사회복지 상담 센터는 시니어들의 메케이드, 메디케어, 노인아파트, SSA, SSI, 푸드스탬 등 모든 사회 복지 혜택에 대하여 상담을 해 드리며, 생활 상담 코너에서는 한인 시니어들의 시민권 신청과 영주권 갱신등 이민국 서비스 도움뿐 아니라 유언장, 리빙윌, 법정 위임장등 각종 문서 작성도 도와 드립니다. 또한 일상 생활에서 겪는 언어 문제 (번역과 통역), 가족 문제, 그외 기타 모든 문제들에 대하여 1:1 상담하여 드립니다.

그외에도 뉴저지한인상록회에서는 세금보고, 공증 서비스, 이미용 서비스 (매주 금요일)등을 제공해 드리며 경조회를 통하여 가입회원이 사망시 장례비용을 부조 형식으로 도와드립니다.

KASCANJ (Korean American Senior Citizens Association of New Jersey) was founded on August 16, 1990 and is celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year. Currently, under the leadership of President Anne Y. Kim-Cha, the 15th president, her third term has commenced.

The New Jersey Korean American Senior Citizens Association welcomes Korean seniors aged 55 and above residing in New Jersey to join with an annual fee of $40. Members enjoy various benefits, including participation in diverse educational programs such as English for daily life, computer skills, how-to-use-smart phone, calligraphy, art, American history, saxophone, aerobics, traditional Korean dance, body stretching, etc., offered through the KASCA Senior School. They can also join hobby clubs like hiking and saxophone clubs to engage in leisure activities with other seniors.

The social welfare counseling center of KASCANJ (Korean American Senior Citizens Association of New Jersey) provides consultations on all social welfare benefits, including Medicaid, Medicare, senior apartments, SSA, SSI, food stamps, etc., for seniors. In the life counseling corner, assistance is provided not only for immigration services such as citizenship applications and green card renewals but also for various documentations like wills, living wills, and power of attorney. Additionally, one-on-one counseling is available for language issues (translation and interpretation), family issues, and any other concerns seniors may have. KASCANJ also provides tax reporting, notary services, and beauty services (every Friday), and through condolence meetings, assists members with funeral expenses in the form of subsidies upon their death.
